How much does cryotherapy cost?

Your cryotherapy treatment at North West Aesthetics will cost from £50 per session.

How does the CryoPen work?

CryoPen therapy is a medical procedure that involves the application of nitrous oxide gas ejected under high pressure on to the skin. The gas is very cold which helps to freeze and destroy any benign lesions.

What results can I expect?

Over a course of 1 or 2 2-minute treatments, you can expect full removal of your benign lesion.

How long is the procedure?

Each treatment session with the CryoPen is around just 2 minutes long. The full appointment, including your consultation, should take just 15 minutes.

How many treatments do I need?

You will see benefits after just one treatment, but to see more long-term benefits, sometimes two treatments are required.

What is the recovery time?

Absolutely no downtime or recovery is necessary as this is a very gentle treatment.

What are the side effects?

In the case of all lesions, over the course of 24 hours post treatment the area will go darker and develop a crust on the surface; it is not recommended to pick this off, and when it naturally falls away, you will see new skin which is a shiny pink colour. This is not scarring, and will re-pigment over the following weeks. While there is very little aftercare required or side effects expected from this treatment, there are a few contraindications that may occasionally occur, including blistering.

Who is suitable and not suitable for cryotherapy?

CryoPen is suitable for most lesions, but it is important to have a consultation before treatment so that the lesion can be fully assessed to ensure it is benign.
