How much does Aqualyx fat dissolving treatment cost?

Prices for Aqualyx facial slimming start at £199 per session for one area, but in order to give you an exact cost you would first need to attend your consultation here at the NWA clinic so that we can fully assess your wants and needs before determining a treatment plan that works best for you.

How does it work work?

This water-like solution contains a bile acid, known as desoxycol acid, that is found naturally within our bodies and is used to aid fat digestion. This solution is injected directly into the fatty deposits in order to liquefy the fat cells so that they can be disposed of naturally via the body’s lymphatic system.

What results can I expect?

Best results are usually apparent over the course of 3–5 treatments. This is because it takes time for your body to expel the dead fat cells via the lymphatic system, which also means your results will progressively improve - bonus!

How long is the procedure?

We ask that patients allow 30 minutes for a prior consultation and treatment.

How many treatments do I need?

As mentioned above, you can start to see improvements after just one treatment, but 3–5 treatments are recommended to see the best results, and each treatment session needs to be 4-6 weeks apart.

What is the recovery time?

You need not worry about taking time out of work or your daily routine as this treatment requires no significant downtime, although we do suggest that you take things easy for the first few days. You may see significant swelling following the procedure which isn’t a concern for the body. Swelling can be noticeable on the chin for 1-2 weeks.

What are the side effects?

Again, the side effects associated with this type of treatment are not worth worrying about, with simply just some slight swelling, bruising, redness and perhaps gentle aching to look out for. These side effects will quickly wear off of their own accord over the course of a few days. As we are dealing particularly with your face in this instance, light makeup is a great way to conceal unsightly side effects until they wear off. In some cases, you may experience some pain post-procedure, which can be managed with paracetamol.

Who is suitable and not suitable for Aqualyx fat dissolving?

This type of fat reduction treatment is only suited to patients looking for a solution to stubborn pockets of fat that diet and exercise alone have failed to eliminate. This is not a suitable substitute for weight loss.
